Dittisham Ploughman

A plum originating in the parish of Dittisham in the valley of the Rive Dart.

The fruit used to be sold locally in Dartmouth and Torquay, and was traditionally raised from suckers.

It is not unlike a a roundish Victoria Plum in appearance.

Juicy and sweet and makes jam of good quality and colour. Free stone. Self fertile.
